Today I had to sit at the reception window which looks out toward the indoor pond. There is a faux rock wall and a bridge...the pond is divided into two sections. The lower section which has some fish and about 10 turtles (which several have attempted to run away--only to be caught the following morning) and the upper section which is deeper and contains more fish. I did discover this morning that the upper section is minus one sucker fish which sadly took his own life when he attempted to escape. What a tragic way to end your life. And as Misty pointed out, he cannot even receive the royal flush because...well...he's already THERE! Poor little fish. A moment of silence was observed...followed by laughter because it was around 2:30 p.m.
On the ledge on the outside of the reception area sits a poinsettia. It's beautiful...and I am not a fan of such flowers--however this one is full and very, very red. And let's face it -- Angie Good LOVES the color red even before she heard those wonderful scientific facts about wearing the color red. :)
I did however miss my little cubicle area today--not that I minded sitting out in the reception area because it changed things up a bit...but I missed the way my desk is organized and how if I look off to the left, I can see the picture of my family. (I transformed it into sepia and then found a burgundy frame at the Dollar Tree!) Oh--and on my right hand side, I have my radio which is tuned to 24/7 Christmas music! But alas...I was the friendly face at the window.
