Sometimes God puts a new path under your feet not because you think you're ready to walk it, but because He knows that's the way you need to go. ~ Lisa Wingate, Word Gets Around
Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth. ~Benjamin Disraeli

There are days when you don't have a song in your heart...Sing anyway! ~Emory Austin
We need to share our light with others...
"In this world of darkness, we are given Light. Hope for all the dying. How will they know? How will they know that Jesus loves them and He died to save them? Carry the light. Carry the light."
I have learned that being with those I LOVE is enough.
Word of the day
You don't need to know where you are going if you know God is leading.

God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars. ~Martin Luther
The true charm of pedestrianism does not lie in the walking, or in the scenery, but in the talking. The walking is good to time the movement of the tongue by, and to keep the blood and the brain stirred up and active; the scenery and the woodsy smells are good to bear in upon a man an unconscious and unobtrusive charm and solace to eye and soul and sense; but the supreme pleasure comes from the talk. ~Mark Twain
There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort. ~Jane Austen
What I loved about Lake Geneva:
- Spending the afternoon with my brother
- the beach
- the vintage bookstore that I made Bryan go in
- the walking path by the lake
- Parking...and watching Bryan get nervous because of the vintage car behind us. (Maybe it was because I told him I was going to SLAM on the gas so "Relax your neck!" And then laughing HYSTERICALLY!!!!)
- Caribou Coffee
- driving home and getting "lost"
Something chilly
A little something FABULOUS for our fun outting to Lake Geneva, WI

About Me
Cottage Chick
I have a psychotic cat. Seriously--those of you who have met her...YOU KNOW. Those of you who haven't, you are in for a treat (laughs the owner of the mentioned cat). I have a serious addiction to The Office and shopping at Kohl's...which I understand do not go together, yet they are MY addictions!
