Fun Fact #12

The following flying creatures creep me out...

1. Moths  And yes, I am aware that moths do not bite!  I have had this fear for YEARS!!!
2. Bats  I was informed one time to "be careful, the bats might get caught in your curly hair!"  Who would tease a girl with curly hair?  Three guesses.
3. June bugs  "Who has had one of these get stuck in their hair?"  (I'm jumping up and down shouting, "PICK ME! PICK ME!")  Tragic.
4. Birds
5. Bees

When I look over this list, only number one has me concerned.  I really, really, really don't like moths.  Here's what happens when I see one in my house...  I get this squeamish feeling in my stomach and then start praying.  I remove my shoe (or grab the nearest one) and begin pondering how I can sneak-up on the moth.  (AT THIS POINT, I TELL MYSELF, "ANGIE GOOD, YOU ARE AN ADULT!  IT IS MOTH!  IT WON'T BITE YOU!  GET SOME CONTROL!!!")  Once I have determined my approach, I go in for the kill.  Flip-flop (or other shoe) flailing about beating the very life out of the moth...which I am sure the first hit did him in, but I need to make sure.  I want to see moth GUTS!!!!!  Once the very life is taken from his little moth body, I find a Kleenex and carefully (why I am careful?  I don't know.) pick up his remains and take him to the toilet.  I say outloud, "Sorry I had to kill you.  Go be with Jesus!"  I know that moths don't go to heaven.  I just like to say it outloud -- kind of like "Rest in peace."

Moth killer,
Angie
