"What happened?"

I about fell of the elliptical the other night when I caught a glimpse of the 7 day forecast...it showed the beginning of this week with highs in the 90's through today (Wednesday) and then tomorrow the high is only 77.  Correction - 77 and LOW humidity!  There will be a 20 degree temperature change from today to tomorrow...and if I am being completely honest -- I AM THRILLED!  No humidity!!!!!  (Happy dance.)

Humidity does nothing good for my hair.  I can't straighten it as usual and even the "Anti-Curl" stuff I got for free at Ulta...well, it wasn't 100% anti-curl when the humidity is 90%.  I can't say as I blame the stuff.  It's hard to win the battle with humidity when you have hair as curly as mine.

Funny story...yesterday I got to work and meandered over to my favorite co-worker's office.  He was on the phone.  He twirled his chair around and took one look at my curls and mouthed, "What happened?"  He followed up the question with a springy motion coming from the top of his head (the motion resembled Tigger's tail - the curly-Q).  I replied, "Humidity happened" and I twirled myself around and marched out of his office.  The nerve...I mean really...it wasn't that my hair was in those tight, Shirley Temple-ish curls that used to vex my very soul.  No...I had taken time to put the softer Curls Rock Conditioning Solution in my hair and I actually blew it dry using my fingers as a brush to soften the curls.  "What happened?"  I'm going to show him what happened...LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT...

No worries.  When I got back to my desk, I sent an email to my two friends and shared the "What happened?" moment with them...it was only then that I was able to laugh about the whole situation.
