I'm currently reading through the book of Job. I know, I know....not really encouraging. I mean the poor guy goes through trial after trial and let's be honest -- his wife ain't that encouraging. (I am well-aware that ain't ain't a word....English minor...but I think it gets the point across!) And his friends....well, his friends are not quite the motivation that one would hope they would be. This has got me thinking...
What kind of friend am I? Do I encourage others with what I say and do? Or do I have a negative impact on their spiritual growth? I've come to the conclusion...and it only took me six & thirty years....either I am drawing people to Christ and making them curious about this hope & faith that I possess....or I am turning them away from the Lord.
So I've been asking myself....what kind of friend am I? And too be honest -- it's a question I ask myself every morning. I look in the mirror and say, "You have a choice today....draw people to Christ or turn them away from your Heavenly Father. What's it gonna be?"
