Bloggable

Do you know that I love to journal?  You know that I like to blog -- infact, I think it's safe to say that I thoroughly enjoy blogging.  First of all -- blogging is way cheaper than therapy...WAY cheaper!  Second -- my blog let's my family and friends, who are far away, keep track of what I am doing.  Third -- my blog is kind of like an online journal.

Now back to my confession -- loving journals.  I really do love them.  My love for them began when I was in college.  Back then (ha-ha-ha "Back then..."  I could have wrote "Back in the day..." but that sounds way before "Back then...") I used a journal to record the important truths that I heard during chapel and church.  I still have some journals from PCC.  My favorite series of journals are my freshman year journals.  Wow!  Those messages were some of the most important messages...I remember scribbling down every word Pastor Schettler shared.  Truth be told - it wasn't quite every word...but close.

Now I journal sermon notes and sometimes the random things that are going on in my life that just aren't bloggable. Bloggable -- I LOVE IT!  I fairly certain that BLOGGABLE should be a word.  Let's spread that around!!!!  Many of my journal posts involve prayer requests and answers to prayer.  When I am having an "off" kind of day, I will think back to ways that the Lord has answered other requests and I will be reminded that He is still there.  He still loves me.  He still cares.

Tonight at our Bible study, Roxanne shared something soo amazing and yet simple.  God hears what we say and He also knows every single thought that goes through our brains.  We sometimes complain just inside our heads...but God still hears it.  Infact she also said, what if in the middle of my complaining, what if I heard that still, small voice whisper, "I hear you!  I hear you!"  How convicting!!!
