Oooooooh no....

Normally I go to Woodmans on Saturday morning to purchase groceries.  Today, however, I slept in until a whopping 8:15.  It was FAB-U-LOUS!  Sooo my trip to Woodmans was postponed until later in the day (i.e. 1-ish).  After leaving Woodmans, I had a hankering for some coffee from Mary's Market.  Not really comprehending that it was 1:00 p.m. and not earlier (as per my normal time to visit Woodmans), I purchased a To-Go cup and filled it up with Mary's Pumpkin Spice Regular Coffee.  $2.46 -- good bargain!

Good idea:  Coffee on a beautiful fall-ish sort of day
Bad idea:  Not selecting decaf after 12 'noon

Soooo here it is 12 midnight and I am wide...WIDE...awake.  And the only thing I can say is...DANGER! DANGER!  I would love nothing more than to fall into a deep slumber.  Okay - tonight reminds of something funny that happened when I graduated from college.

My closest friends, Mandy and Tanya, traveled down to Pensacola, Florida to hang-out with me and the family during commencement week.  I do believe it was the night before I graduated....and for some reason, we were up seriously late.  LATE!  I think maybe we had went to Barney's Coffee in Cordova Mall...or maybe we had coffee at Books-A-Million. I'm not 100% sure now that it's been many years later...Either way -- we were up really late.  And I believe we might've been driving my housemates kind of crazy with giggling like the 7th grade girls we were.  Any-who...at one point in the late-night/early morning hours, Tanya and I determined that it would be great if the Lord would cast the caffeine out of bloodstream into some swine.  And then we started giggling again...

As I sit here wide-awake...I am still laughing about the caffeine-casting-into-the-swine story...and I am wondering if I am in a good frame-of-mind to knit.  Hmmmmmm...  I could make some good progress on that floofy [pronouced "flew-fee"] scarf I want to make.  (Thanks for the fun word, Pheebs!!!!!!!!)

Maybe by one, I will be asleep....MAYBE!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
