Soooo here's how my day went...
7:32 a.m. ~ walk out the door without a coat because I was too cumbered down with a knitting bag, a lunch tote, my purse, and a travel mug containing coffee ~ Had the girl with curly hair taken the few minutes to watch the morning news, she might've caught a glimpe of the day's forecast, AND she might've taken time to grab her winter coat...
10:30-ish ~ look outside and see that it's snowing
10:32 ~ after staring out the window at the lovely fluff realize that my winter coat is at home...but alas - my gym bag (which is always in my car) contains a pink zip-up fleece jacket.
10:34 ~ realize that it's Wednesday and said gym bag is not Rosie; said gym bag is sitting on the chair inside the cottage...thus leaving me coatless
10:35 ~ begin earnestly praying that the snow ceases
Sometime after lunch, snow stopped and I rejoiced and offered up MANY prayers of thanksgiving.
4:31 ~ clock-out and walk out the door with my supervisor. He takes one look at the coatless secretary and said, "Watch the weather tomorrow morning. Oooh and wear a coat because you live in northern Illinois!"
Several hours later...
6:30 ~ put on Sara's fabulous, thrift-find-and-sharable, brown wool coat and cute scarf and go to Bible study...where our lesson was on faith. You know when you have a week that goes a certain way...and you walk through the doors of the church and just feel a big sigh of contentment and rest? That was how my evening was. It was such a relief to be at church...with other Christians who I know and love. The lesson...stepped on my toes...and for that I am truly thankful.
