Thought for sure, I was going to hear "Born Free" today...

This morning at work, I spotted a woolly bear caterpillar meandering through the Engineering Department.  I picked the little guy up and took him outside where I lectured him on the importance of beginning to create a cocoon.  I do hope it's not too late for him to attach himself to a sturdy structure and spin away said cocoon...where he will spend the winter transforming into a beautiful butterfly.  My friend Shelley pointed out the fact that he might turn into a dreadful moth.  Ummmmm...he had better not because I am watching him.  (Doing that motion that I do the Sunday school kids when I want them to know that I am looking for a Quiet Seat winner!)

So after setting the caterpillar free, I re-entered the building only to find a box turtle trapped in the corner behind our Engineering Department entrance.  He kept banging his head on the wall.  (Don't I know that feeling!!!)  Anyway...John came and saved the poor guy from developing a migraine.  The turtle was placed back in the pond with his other turtle friends.  I'm sure he shared his adventuresome tales with the others.  Let's hope the rest of them don't get the crazy idea to leave the pond also.

There you have it...the tales of the Engineering Secretary.  What will happen tomorrow?  Tune in for details.
