My hope is built on nothing less...

Music is powerful...it has the capability to encourage, uplift, and soothe our hearts.  On the flipside, it can do the opposite if we aren't careful about what we listen too.

This morning I have been serenading the evil feline while getting ready for work...I'm sure Maggie enjoyed the free concert.  She will probably put up flyers in the area..."Free Concert @ 6:00 a.m. Come to the cottage to hear the girl with curly hair.  Her voice carries over the sound of the blow dryer!  It's an amazing feat!"

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
 On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

When Darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, his covenant, his blood
supports me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.

When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found!
Dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne!
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
I used the bold feature to highlight the particular parts of the hymn that spoke VOLUMES to my heart.  The opening line..."My hope is built on nothing less..."  WOW!  It's built on nothing less...  :)

As I venture off to work this morning, I pray that the words to this hymn will float through my brain as I type, file, and answer the phones today.

I hope your Tuesday is filled with thoughts of Him too.  :)

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
