A God-Moment :)

I arrived at work at 7:55 a.m.

The next time I looked at the clock, it was 11:05 a.m.  So I took a break and read James 1-3.

Before long, it was 12:55 and time for lunch.  I forgot to bring my reading material to work sooo I sat outside and ate my lunch and watched two hawks get in a fight with some ravens.  Hawks 4; Ravens 0.  It reminded me of my childhood when Mutual of Omaha would play those Saturday afternoon specials.  You know the ones with the herd of gazelle...the music would become dramatic...oh - great!  There's a cheetah.  Nope - make that four cheetahs...  The gazelles were always, ALWAYS oblivious to the cheetahs.  The music would crescendo and the gazelles would inevitably get eaten.  Now I chalk it up to the "Circle of Life" -- thank you Mufasa and Simba!  Back when I was a kid, it was tragic.  Cheetahs eating gazelles.

While on my lunch break, I experienced a God-moment.  As I sat outside soaking up some Vitamin D (did I mention that in my rush to get out the door, I forgot to take my vitamins?), several family members and friends came to mind as I prayed.  One of such being my college roommate Tanya, her husband Jason, and their new little baby Fletcher.  I prayed for them.  As I walked back in the building to return to work, Tanya sent me a text of Fletcher with the caption, "Fletcher wanted to say hi!"  I shared with her that I had been praying for them.  What a neat God-moment!

From lunchtime until 3, the time flew by.  At 3 p.m., however, time seemed to stop.  Granted -- I had a delightful mug o'raspberry tea.  I have convinced my favorite co-worker to resume our afternoon tea time.  (We're not snobs and we don't declare it "High Tea" with a faux British accent...we just dig tea.)

After tea and a whirlwind of paper...I had a moment to breathe a sigh of relief and sit back and knit for my last break of the day.

I was kinda frazzled this morning when I realized that I had forgotten all my reading material....but at the end of the day, I knew it was exactly what I needed.  :)

I hope you had a God-moment too today!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
