Wow!

Soooo I use a mixture of white distilled vinegar, Dawn dish soap, and water to clean my shower doors.  I read about it on Pinterest and my mom is totally sold on the cleaner.

Well...I learned something else that vinegar can do.  It has such magical powers.

Vinegar (and I do mean the cheap white distilled stuff) kills weeds.  For real!

I went to Wal-Mart this morning and purchased 2 gallons of vinegar.  Ironically on the same shopping trip, I was also buying plant food and potting soil.  Gotta kill some and gotta make some grow!!!

From what I read on Pinterest, you are to dump the vinegar on the weed(s) so that it gets down to the roots.  I poured the first gallon on weeds in the cracks near the entry to the cottage and the second gallon I used to take the lives of many-a-weed in the sidewalk/walkway next to my pretty flower bed.  Also, with the leftover vinegar, I dumped it in the back flower bed because there were some monstrous weeds that I was unable to dig up last weekend.

After a couple hours, I went back and re-examined the weed situation and GUESS WHAT???  99% of the weeds had already met their maker.  I cannot believe that vinegar kills weeds!!!
