A surprise in my mailbox!!!

I love getting mail postmarked from Washington!!!  Today I received an envelope containing four letters from my favorite Northwesterners!!!

As I read each letter, I couldn't help but feel as though they were right here talking to me...thus the beauty of a letter.

The fourth chair filler (Elaina Lou) drew me a lovely octopus and passed off her note-writing to her delightful mother.

The second chair filler (Seth) wrote about his camp adventures and concluded with "Thinking of you."

The third chair filler (Meghan) wrote about their new house and slug-catching escapades.  She accurately described the slug's coloring as "booger yellow" too which I laughed outloud.

The first chair-filler (Samantha) doodled on the front of my note and in beautiful cursive jotted me a note on the flipside.

Each of these sweet notes reminded me just how much I miss the authors/artists.  Some days Seattle feels sooooo far away.
