Lurking in the garage

Ugly is such a harsh word.  No one likes to be called it.  It's mean...however, last night I saw an ugly little critter in my garage.  It's beady little eyes peered at me over the top of my flower pot.  A possum!

 
 My first thought was how cute a baby.  My second thought - CRUD!  I bet its mother is around here somewhere!  My third thought was What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee!  (Emphasis added!)  I mentally created my get-away strategy and then counted down 3-2-1 before hurling myself out of Rosie and making a mad-dash for the cottage.  

Once inside the confines of my sweet little place of residence my heart returned to a normal rhythm and I was able to gather my whits and send a text to my landlord.  The return message informed me that he is going to get the garage door fixed.  Praise the Lord - because I don't really want to meet up with any other critters...and HELLO - it's going to be getting colder & animals tend to go a-lookin' for warmer housing.
