One of the last songs we have to work on for the cantata is a conglomeration of a bunch of carols. One such carol is a peppy version of Go Tell It On The Mountain. It's fabulous!!!
Several weeks ago, Lauren and I decided that in the true spirit of Go Tell It On The Mountain, we should wear choir robes and clap! You know -- really get in to it.
Last night when we were practicing it, to help keep the tempo, our choir director started clapping at which point I told Lauren, "See -- he's ok with clapping!!!"
Also, it should be noted - I would prefer purple choir robes. :)
