I've resided at the cottage for 5.5 years. Wow - it doesn't seem like it's been that long, but it has, friends.
My former neighbors were delightful and charming. Mr. Neighbor took care of the yard and the interior of the cottage (which he referred to as "the hut" - to each his own :)). My new Mr. Neighbor doesn't seem to care much for maintenance and care of the yard. Case and point - the light above my kitchen sink hasn't worked for 1.5 years. Oh and also the outlet in my bathroom was compromised when we had that ice storm 2 winters ago.
The inside of the cottage needs some TLC - i.e. PAINT! Sooo I have convinced my brother that painting the cottage over Thanksgiving weekend will be the best way to remember the pilgrims and the Native Americans that brought this wonderful holiday into being.
I'm going to start the painting project tonight and tomorrow morning. Part One - Clean the walls in the living room and bedroom. Remove all the artwork and spackle the holes. I, also, intend to purchase the paint for both of these rooms and tackle painting them.
Truth be told - I need Bry's help to paint the bathroom and the kitchen. The bedroom and living room aren't that complicated.
I've never headed-up a painting project before. I've only ever helped friends paint...soo this will be a new experience for me. Any suggestions, friends???
I will post pictures and update you on my painting adventures... :)
Happy Veterans' Day Weekend!!!
