Winter. Blah.

Yesterday felt very much like a Friday. Sadly, it was only Tuesday. Today, also, felt like Friday. I'm uncertain as to these feel-like-Friday days.

I do know this, the other night I dreamt of flip-flops and warmer weather. Sadly, when I woke-up, it was January. January in the Midwest.

I've been perusing Pinterest quite a bit the past two or three weeks...hahahahahahaha!  I couldn't even put the period at the end without laughing.  I've been a pinning maniac since Thanksgiving!!!

Anywho...
I've recently been searching for cupboard organizational ideas.  You see, under my kitchen sink, I store my cookie sheets, my dish strainer, Saran Wrap, Aluminum Foil, my Kitchen Aid stand mixer, my blender, and my toaster oven.

The cookie sheets drive me crazy because they topple over when I remove the toaster oven.  Sooooo I searched and found a neat storage idea for the cookie sheets and while searching, I found a genius storage idea for the Saran Wrap.  You take a magazine holder and attach it to the door.  Stand all of your wraps upright.  I may get a magazine holder with holes in it so I can use cup hooks to attach it to the door - that way, I can remove it easily to clean it...if the need should ever arise.

Since I needed to take inventory of everything under the sink, last night I pulled it all out and used the vacuum hose to suck up the bits and pieces of who-knows-what.  I imagine they were crumbs from my toaster oven.  That's what I am telling myself. :)

Because I was sitting on the floor and I had the vacuum hose attached, I decided to clean out my bottom drawer.  It's the drawer that has this-n-that.  Ziplock bags, candles, matches, a bag of screws, the hammer, etc.  I was able to downsize some stuff and even throw some stuff away.

I know it's only two things, but those small accomplishments gave me hope that winter is not soo bad.  And the rest of the cottage can and will get sorted through.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
