Here are my honest-to-goodness feelings about insects.
Grasshoppers: creepy. Some of them can fly. They sit in the parking lot at work and when I scamper to Rosie, they take flight giving me a case of the heebie-jeebies. I, then, feel as though I am back in grade school playing the game Don't step on the sidewalk cracks except my version is called, I hate grasshoppers and don't want to startle them!
Earwigs: pinchers. They are prehistoric. Do they even serve a purpose other than scaring me? Oh - and they are nocturnal. As if being pinchers wasn't bad enough...this creepazoid bugs come out at night.
Roaches: [insert twitch.] Never ever, ever did I know that this evil creatures of the night could fly UNTIL I rented a cute mobile home with two sisters during college. My friends were down to see my graduate from P Double C and a cockroach came meandering out during our chick flick marathon. Thankfully my brother was there and able to rid our world of this monster! That's the night I learned they could fly. Two days later, I headed north to Michigan. Michigan is pretty much roach-free. Roaches in the south are no respecters of persons. Roaches in the north tend to mean, you live in filth. Just sayin'...
June bugs: Their legs have this prickly spots that tend to get tangled in my curls. In the summer, you will find me covering my head and dashing from Rosie to the cottage all the while praying outloud, "Please Lord keep the bugs away from my curls!" True story.
Moths: I'm not sure why I don't like months...as they don't bite or pinch or spread icky diseases. I just don't like their fluttering about.
There are 2 bugs that I do love...
1. The praying mantis: GIRL POWER!!!! :)
2. Ladybugs. Red ladybugs. Not those orange faux-impostor ladybugs that have another name. I like cute red ladybugs. They are friendly little bugs.
So there you have...my honest to goodness feelings/thoughts about insects.
