I've come to the conclusion that I like my glasses. For the next 4 weeks, I will get to over-use them. You see...today I ripped my last left contact lens. A couple years ago and this might've been a complete crisis including tears and lamenting about the fact that I have to wear corrective eyewear that the whole entire world can see. I do prefer my contacts because...
A) they go unseen;
B) they are actually better for your eyes than glasses. Did you even know that? They are. My eye doctor said soo. He said my prescription is getting better not worse. The contact adheres to your eyeball, leaving no room for your eyes to strain. With glasses, you have the space outside the frames - glancing down or up under/over the frame which causes eye strain. My poor pretty, green eyes. (Sigh.)
The good news is - I was able to get in to the eye doctor next week. The remaining 3 weeks are the allotted time for the little contact making men to create astigmatismally fabulous left eye lenses. My right eye is always ready in a week or so...but my left eye, that's the tricky one. My left eye requires more intense labor. (Tsk. Tsk.)
I thoroughly enjoy going to the eye doctor. My appointment was scheduled for mid-morning...a little break in my work day. I do hope they do not need to dilate my eyes. I used to the kind of girl that would return to work and squint while the eye dilating drugs wear off. Not anymore. Now I am the kind of girl that calls it a day and goes home and rests her green eyes. You will just have to wait and see... :) Hahahahahahaha....wait and SEE!!!
