Sew....a needle pulling thread....

I spent the morning in my pajamas while sewing.  I had a birthday present to start and finish.  The recipient is a blog-stalker so the photos will be uploaded later.  :)

On an amazing sewing note - a couple weeks ago, I found some delightful striped knit fabric on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  I bought 3 yards.  It turns out that you can make 5 infinity scarves out of 3 yards.  Who would've thunk?

My co-worker was giving me a hard time about not going to the lake today and opting to sew.  Why it didn't bother me...  a) I was sewing for a friend!  b) One of the infinity scarves is going to be an International sensation!  (And if I didn't get it complete, I would have to pay shipping over the pond.  Danger-danger!)  c) I love staying home.  Not all the time.  But on Saturdays --> YES!  And technically I did "get out" this afternoon.  I ran to JoAnn's and bought replacement buttons for my thrift find.  And since I had a 50% any regular priced yarn, I bought a huge (12 ounces!) skein of cotton yard to continue on my dish cloth Christmas project.  The last items I bought are to construct another tote.  It's also for someone who frequently reads the ramblings of yours truly, so my lips are sealed.

A whole morning of sewing is exhausting, so I treated myself to Chipotle's burrito bowl for supper and a smidge bit of Red Mango for dessert.

All in all...
today has been a splendid sort of Saturday!
