9:47 a.m.

This morning at precisely 9:47 a.m. I wanted to figure out a way to rewind the morning back to the point when I was lying prostrate in my bed, snuggled underneath my cozy quilt, quietly waking-up.  Back to a simpler time.  A time without a snarky co-worker and a strange phone call which had me pondering the nearness of the full moon.  {The full moon, actually called Harvest Moon, falls on September 19th.  Two more sleeps.  Mark your calendar.  You've been warned!}

Since life does not come with rewind buttons, my only option was the press through the morning and quietly remind myself, "A soft answer turneth away wrath..."  I quote that verse often.  It really does keep my heart focused on what God says about my attitude and my answer [whether verbal or non-verbal, because let's face it - God knows our thoughts!].  It's not easy when the snarky one snarks at you.

Instead of rewinding or wishing to rewind, I took a stroll out to the turtle pond in the lobby. Just stopping at the turtle pond took great self-control because I wanted to just keep walking.  The sun was shining and there was a Septemberish-almost-fallish nip in the air and I was wearing comfy flats (leopard print, if you like details!) and a sweater.  SPEAKING OF SWEATERS....at what point does someone need a sweater intervention?  I mean, for real...is there a quantity of sweaters, when reached, that professional help must be sought?  I sent the following text to my friend, "Note:  If in the future, if I attempt to purchase a brown sweater - cabled, cardigan, etc - please remind me of the other brown sweaters at the cottage.  Also, you may want to host an intervention."

I saw the coolest idea on Pinterest.  They up-cycled (It's like recycle but more fabulous!) a cable sweater and transformed it into a cowl scarf.  I'm pretty sure they used a serger to finish to secure the edges.  Bonus - I have a serger.  The only thing about this craft project is that a sweater will have to give up its sweater-ish life for me to have a cute cowl scarf.  I mean, it's a small sacrifice...but still...it's repurposing a sweater.

Tonight before revival meeting at church, I was perusing my Makes Me Laugh Outloud Pinterest board and I stumbled upon this gem.

Happy Monday-almost-Tuesday!!!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
