Autumn....it's here!!!!!!!!!

Happy first day of autumn!!!

If I were to write a note to autumn, it would read....

Dearest Autumn ~
I've missed you.  It's been 3/4 of a year since I've seen you. 
A lot has happened since then...winter followed by spring
and then summer...and now, you're here.  I've missed
your adorable-ness.  Thank you for coming back into my
life.  Please stay as long as possible.

I love autumn. I'm not exactly sure when my fondness turned into down-right deep love....but I do love, love, LOVE autumn.

chilly mornings when I rush to the kitchen to get a mug of coffee which not only warms my hands but also warms my heart

 

fall colors ~ burnt orange, cranberry, hunter green, and brown

trips to the apple orchard

 

I'm pretty sure a weekly trip to the apple orchard is necessary.  Sooo far I've been to Cherry Valley's apple orchard twice.  Yesterday's trip was out of necessity - as I wanted to make apple crisp and enjoy some hot cider.  I am trying out a new apple - Cortland.  I've never used Cortlands before but the apple orchard gals promised me the Cortlands would make a lovely crisp.  Yummmmmmo!!!!
