Happy Columbus Day Eve!!!

I must confess - I love all of these Fall-ish holidays that we get off from work.  Seriously - it's a huge blessing.  Labor Day...Columbus Day...Veteran's Day...Thanksgiving & Black Friday...Christmas Eve & Christmas...and New Year's.

Tomorrow is Columbus Day.  I believe we should always celebrate this day because according to some historians, Columbus brought chocolate to the New World.  Choc-o-late!!!  We should celebrate daily!!!

What's funny to me is that Columbus did not discover America.  Leif Ericson did.  We don't have Leif Ericson day.  Leif probably didn't bring chocolate.  You bring a sweet treat and we will give you a national holiday.  Seriously.  We have priorities.  Sometimes they are slightly ridiculous, but they are priorities nonetheless.

Since I have a free day tomorrow - I have been going through my closet weeding out what I don't love.  I figure since I am hoping to move this fall, it's a great time to sort through stuff and get rid of what I don't need / want / love.  So far I have two large bags and some stuff willy-nilly in my trunk.

My to do list for tomorrow is a series of errands.......
1) Bake pumpkin muffins :)
2) Drop off some pumpkin muffins
3) Drop off bags of clothes to the Rescue Mission Thrift Store
4) Stop at tire place.  My low tire pressure light is on & all my tires have the proper amount of air.
5) Stop at the eye glass place and have them fix my frames
6) Get groceries
7) Gym
8) Make cookies for my favorite co-worker since he protected me from a crazy last week.  My only concern is that he will think every time he protects me from this crazy that he will receive cookies...like Pavlog's dogs.  Pavlog rang the bell and then gave them treats...eventually he would just ring the bell and the dogs would salivate.  All things aside - I am totally appreciative of his rescuing so I am going to bravely bake the cookies.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
