What happens when my favorite co-worker and I have the same exact Pyrex dish...

Well.  It's a Monday.  You are not even going to believe what I did today.  I shall now share the events in the order that they happened....

For the past couple of weeks, I've been a space cadet.  First ~ I forgot my stylish black boots at the gym.  Thankfully, they were found and returned to me.

The following week, I left my favorite water bottle at the gym.  It, also, was placed in lost and found and remained there until I noticed that it was missing from my life.

Here's what happened today...
Earlier today {around 8 a.m.} I meandered in to the lunchroom at work and prepared to put my lunch bag in the fridge, when I spotted my blue Pyrex dish from Friday with approximately a half inch of leftover chili.  I knew the chili was compromised so I removed said bowl from the fridge.  While removing the first bowl, I noticed a second Pyrex dish with a similar chili-like substance and approximately the same amount of chili.  I removed the second bowl and proceeded to carry my double-decker stack o'Pyrex to the sink to clean out my old, forgotten leftovers.  I should note that while cleaning out one of the bowls of chili, I thought to myself, Hmmmmm....that is really weird.  There's a kernel of corn in here!!!

Fast forward to 12:30 p.m....
I am sitting at my desk, minding my own business, when in walks my favorite co-worker.  He declares:  "Angie, who would've taken my lunch from the fridge?"  IMMEDIATELY I KNEW WHO STOLE HIS LUNCH......IT WAS ME!!!!!  ANGIE GOOD, LUNCH THIEF.

I owned up to it and then spent 3 seconds trying to explain myself. He just walked away.  I grabbed my keys, coat and purse and hurried to where you can get a lunch made "Freaky Fast" ~ Jimmy John's.

Twenty minutes later and an apologetic text and I was standing near the entrance to the department shoving a turkey sandwich and a bag of salt & vinegar chips in to his hands while stating, "You know I did not throw it away maliciously, right?"  Too which he replied,  "If you think I am gaining weight - come and talk to me. Don't just throw my lunch away!!!"

I cannot believe that I threw his lunch in the trash!!!

Our other co-worker (a third of our best friend club) said that she was going to steal his lunch tomorrow.  He will probably keep his lunch in his purse.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
