For the past 13 years, I have managed to remain a library law abiding citizen. Today that ended. Today I received voicemail notification that I had items due. Had I realized that today the library was closed and I could graciously place the overdue items in the drop box and the library would've been none the wiser but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....I immediately went online to renew said tardy items and saw the note: "Overdue fines: $1.00." I am so not that girl. I keep the receipt-like print-outs and put them on my chalkboard. I open my library account and make sure everything is up-to-date. Not this time. Nope. I've gone from good girl (pun totally intended) to Miss I-return-books-late.
