Every week day at 2 p.m.....

....my favorite co-worker and I have mugs of green tea with a bit of honey.  It started about 3 years ago.  It works out great because he can handle caffeine in the afternoon.  I cannot.  Therefore - I make his mug of tea first...thus brewing all the caffeine in to his cup.  I, in essence, get decaf tea.  Our tea break affords us a mid-afternoon gabfest while our tea steeps.  It's a fun 3 to 5 minutes where we cover a myriad of topics ranging from my love life {or lack thereof} to hockey to chick flicks {he believes the only good chick flick is one in which the main character gets eaten by a bear} to sewerage issues.  Yes, we are random.

So that he remembers the importance of green tea and its antioxidants, I bought him a box of our favorite green tea.  I also got him honey.  He does this crazy obnoxious thing with my honey jar....he will dump the honey into his mug and then haphazardly twist the jar - I am sure he is thinking that he is working magic and making it so the jar won't be sticky. He is wrong. Honey ends up leaving a sticky trail down the side of the jar...thus causing me to lecture him on why this unacceptable.  And now he's leaving and I will have a perfectly not sticky jar...and tearfully, I confess...I am going to miss that.

He is leaving tomorrow.  Infact tomorrow - he only has to show-up and shake hands and say, "Bye."  I will hand off his goodbye gift and a congratulations card because I could not bring myself to buy an actual goodbye card.  If you would've been in Woodman's this afternoon, you would've found me crying in the card section. It was a Toy Story goodbye card...and it made me cry.  Me!  I am adult and there I stood with tears streaming down my face.  Thanks Mr. Potatohead.  Oh and Buzz and Woody too.
