Autozone

Yesterday my co-worker pointed out that I had a headlight out.  Since I was going to skip the gym and enjoy a lazy Thursday evening at home, I completely forgot about the headlight. 

Today I needed to help out my friends and play chauffeur so fixing the lightbulb was no longer a forgettable situation.

I have only had these fancy-schmancy light bulbs since Thanksgiving which makes me question if the top of the line were better than the average ho-hum ones.  Hmmmm....

Since I had purchased the fancy ones at an AutoZone in Indianapolis, I figured I would stop at the local AutoZone and see if they would equally as helpful as the Indy folks.

My tech's name was Matthew.  Very helpful chap!!!

He walked out to Rosie and waited while I popped the hood.  He kept trying to open the hood and finally said, "Check to see if you popped the trunk."  I had.  He, then, went on to say how he had done the very same thing.....and I totally flashbacks to me standing in the big guy's office telling him, "It's ok if you put down the wrong date.  I do it all the time."  I was suddenly realizing how comforting it is to know that I am not alone in my space cadet-ish tendencies.

After pulling the hood release, I said to Matt, "Ok.  You can lift the lid!"  I can only imagine what he told his co-workers.
