Technically, it is Fall...meteorologically it is Fall. I think that counts for something. I mean, look outside - the leaves are changing. Football is in session. The orchard is open. How much more proof do you need that Fall is here??? I could declare it if that would make you feel better.
I love Fall. I say it every single year...but it's true. I heart Fall.
Andy Williams sings about the most wonderful time of year being Christmas...and don't get me wrong - I heart Christmas and December snow and mugs of hot chocolate. But (yes, BUT) there's something delightful in watching the leaves change...drinking a mug of warm apple cider...putting on a hoodie and jeans and heading to a football game. I would like to pause here and just say - straight up - I like high school football. I do believe it goes back to my high school marching band days. Yes, I was in the band. I know that my favorite co-worker found my nerd girl marching band days confession mildly amusing. Forget mildly amusing, he out-right laughed and laughed. Rude? Not so much. I think he had me pegged for a nerdy girl from the get go. Knitting...reading...my big weekend excitement is going to the coffeeshop to hang-out with the girlies. Yeah...ok, so I am still the band nerd. But you know what - being the quiet girl has its benefits. I love a good book...a quiet evening at home...a mug of hot chocolate...a lazy snow day in my jammies. If loving all those things is wrong, I don't wanna be right!!!
