Sunday School ~ March 22, 2015

We are nearing Easter and the SS curr. breaks up the events leading up to the Resurrection over 6 Sundays.  Yesterday I taught them about Jesus before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin trial - and then Jesus before Pilate.  I've taught this series for 8 years in a SS setting and 3 years as a teacher...and each time I read and study for these particular lessons, I'm completely amazed that He willingly choose this...for us...and if we were the only sinners on the planet, Jesus still would've come and died for us.  For God so loved the world...  There's a hymn we sing and it's absolutely my favorite..."Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful?"  Yes, yes, it is.  :)

There will never be a sweeter story,
Story of the Savior's love divine,
Love that bro't Him from the realms of Glory,
Just to save a sinful soul like mine.
Chorus
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful, wonderful.
O isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful it is to me.

Boundless as the universe around me,
Reaching to the farthest soul away,
Saving, keeping love it was that found me,
That is why my heart can truly say;
Chorus
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful, wonderful.
O isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful it is to me.

Love beyond our human comprehending,
Love of God in Christ how can it be?
This will be my theme and never ending,
Great redeeming love of Calvary.
Chorus
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful, wonderful.
O isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful it is to me.
