I saw a great idea on Pinterest. Flannel and lace infinity scarves. The Pin took me to a lovely Etsy page where I could purchase this beautiful scarf. I said to myself, "Angie Good" (because I use my first and last name when I address myself inside my...head which really inside myself). I said, "Angie Good, you can so make this." Then I used Google to search "flannel and lace infinity scarf how to make." Grammar and Google really don't matter.
I was then directed to a lovely link where someone with superb writing skills guided me with simple, clear directions to sew said scarf.
With the first one complete, I was thinking that I could whip-up a second one.
I am going to let you in on a little secret. I am not working tomorrow. I, Angie Good, will be spending the day with Rhonda in the Windy City. Our first stop being the Randall Road Goodwill. Wait! Who am I really kidding? Our FIRRRRRST stop will be for coffee and then the Goodwill. Hellooooo! I know us.
I decided with the second and third and fourth and so on :) scarves that I would serged all the sides before putting the pieces together. This will give it a finished look.
Side #1 of scarf 2...got about 2/3 of the way done and noticed serger spool #1 (as in the first to be threaded - and may I add that it's the trickiest) was not feeding in to the machine. Yes, the thread had snapped and my happily serging-away-self discovered that NO, indeed it was not serging.
It is quarter-to-ten and I have had a longish sort of Thursday sooo instead of trying to re-thread this machine, I am going to turn off the power and go watch White Christmas.
