"Has that always been there?" I asked myself.

We looked at something soooooo cool last night in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.  I never even noticed this before...
In Christ's genealogies - In Matthew 1:16, it shows how Jesus was born of a virgin and Luke 2:23 emphasizes that He was He was born the (step-) son of Joseph whose genealogy lists back to Adam.  John doesn't list a genealogy b/c his emphasis was Jesus is God - "In the beginning was the Word..."  Mark doesn't even list a genealogy - he delves right in to Jesus' earthly ministry! 

Matthew 1:16 - And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Luke 2:23 - And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
I had never noticed the (as was supposed) in Luke.  Did you ever notice that?  When my pastor read that verse, I thought to myself, Has that always been there?  Clearly it has.  I just never noticed it.  Thus the beautiful gift of Wednesday night Bible study.
