...on Friday, March 5th.
Weeks ago, I said yes to a thrift outing because the askee is a friend who was in desperate need of thrifting and what kind of friend would I be to decline such an opportunity. Plus said askee needed a friend to be a friend and be honest.
We went to the REAL Janesville.
Sooo the story goes that this friend calls the Delavan Goodwill the "fake Janesville" and the real Janesville is "the real Janesville." We're so original. Delavan is the fake one because you drive like you are going to the REAL one and then you merge off I-90 onto I-43 toward Milwaukee. Oh the trickery....
Our thrift night was epic.
We found a few fun items.
We heard the clerk say, "Attention shoppers, the time is now 8:45. The store will be closing...blah-blah-blah." Those silly closing announcements really do not phase us. The old Angie and Rhonda would've made a made dash to the checkout...however in our maturity (read 7 years of thrifting) we see the announcement as a 15-minute binge shopping moment. We do not shop right up until 9 p.m. (or insert whatever closing time) but we do shop for another 10 or so minutes.
