Earlier today I was reading Titus 2 - I've been there for some time now; my life group has been studying this Epistle (it's an Epistle, right?) since the first of the year and now Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth's book Adorned is delving into Titus in my ponder-this time. When I finished re-reading Titus 2, I turned back a few pages and began reading I Thessalonians. I'm not really sure why I went to Thessalonians. Probably because it was not so very far away from Titus and I do like Paul's letters.
Thessalonians - what a little goldmine of truth. I got through the first three(ish) chapters. It warmed my heart to read Paul's letter encouraging this church to keep on keeping on. Isn't it what we need TODAY? Just keep on keeping on. And then the Titus study about adorning the Gospel. Wow! Just wow!!!!
This morning was one of those mornings full of coffee and a not-rushedness and leisure Bible reading. I had no place particular to be until noon-ish.
Quiet, coffee-filled, Jesus-filled mornings are my favorite weekend mornings.
