Boston: 111 hours condensed

Thursday, May 4, 2017
3:30 a.m. - Coach USA bus to O'Hare

7:00 a.m. - flight ORd to DTW 

8:45 a.m. (Eastern) - arrived at Metro.  Bryan was stuck in security.

9:45 a.m. - as they are boarding our zone, Bryan enters stage right.  Yeaaaah!

9:50 a.m. - we were seated in 24A & B and buckled.  Let the shenanigans begin!!!

11:50 a.m. - arrived at Logan International Airport.  Shuttle to trains to bus.


7:00 p.m. - Boston Red Sox played the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway

10:00 p.m. - We left in the bottom of the 6th inning.  PRAISE THE LORD...my pajamas were calling my name!!!!  I believe I fell into a mini-coma that evening.

We walked 7.84 miles.

Friday, May 5, 2017
Leisure breakfast before boarding bus #57; hit Barnes and Noble.  Bryan bought me a backpack - secretly I believe he got me this to carry snacks in to the city.  

Accidentally went to Quincy, Mass and not downtown Boston to Quincy Market.    Got turned around and back in the city...





1:00 p.m. - Had fish tacos at Anthem's at Quincy Market and dessert at Espresso Love.  {You really should read the long version of my trip because this is the Ninja Turtles moment.}  
6:00 - We were done walking sight-seeing for the day.  We boarded the train to the bus to "home."  Hit a hip Goodwill and the CVS.  CVS was not hip.  Just for clarification purposes.

9:00 p.m. - Home and relaxed

We walked 7.56 miles.

Saturday, May 6, 2017
Toured USS Constitution (aka:  Ironside) and the museum.

Chow-dah at Quincy Market and the rain had ceased.  The sun shown down on us as we enjoyed our chowder.

We headed back toward our lodging - train to bus route.
In our way back, we jumped off the bus to have Abbott's Frozen Custard.  BEST CUSTARD EVER!  

Bought traveling and Sunday-Funday snacks at Whole Foods.

We got home and watched the first Avengers movie. 

We walked 7.62 miles.

Sunday, May 7, 2017
Breakfast in the city.  

After nourishment, we went to the (what I call) "The Massacre Site." 

Tried to go to JKF Library.  Former President Obama ruined that. 

Went to Harvard Square in Cambridge

Regal Fenway movie theater and watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2.  

After the movie, we returned to our jammies, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, and the tedious task of re-packing our suitcases.

We walked 7.83 miles. 

Monday, May 8, 2017
Travel day back home.

Safe flights.  Too short of a layover for me in Detroit.  Almost had to run through the airport.  Ugh - I hate running...even through airports...even towards coffee.  :)

Oh...and on this day, I only walked 4.78 miles.  Hahahahahaha...ONLY!!!! Gates 77 to 17 were power walking.

Total miles walked:  35.63
