Lake hair - don't care

This afternoon as I packed my lake bag, I thought about my college days.  That's where I learned the art of packing the perfect beach / lake bag. 

You start out with an old twin flat sheet.  This is the "floor" of your beach area.  Then you pack your beach towel, Sun Bum 30 spf sunscreen, a good book, a large bottle of water, a smallish treat, flip-flops, sunglasses, and a pair of shorts.

Keep a little cash in your purse because you may feel the need for additional hydration (read: an iced coconut milk latte). 

It should be noted that during college beach outings, we also had snazzy beach chairs.  They were circa 1990 collapsible lounge chairs.  They fit nicely in my little Volkswagen Fox.  :)

There you have...the art of the perfect beach / lake bag. 

And now to enjoy my beach hair - don't care day.
