Bryan and I met in Michigan City, Indiana today.
We spent 6 hours together and failed to snap a picture of us.
Granted I have several pictures of us together but I like to snap a selfie of us each time we meet.
Today we even joked about stopping at a cigar outlet and taking a selfie in their "smoking lounge" for our MOMMA (only Nancy Good will find this remotely amusing, right, MOMMA?).
We did not do this but we joked about it so does that count for something???
We had iced chai and then went to the coolest thrift store that was inside an old convent.
Bryan wanted to know if that was where the nuns hung-out? Yes. Yes, they lived there back in the day.
I found a cute semi-vintagey looking navy + coral + white faux wrapdress. Bryan said it looked vintage which he supposed warmed my heart as I had recently viewed the new Wonder Woman movie and am reading my current set-during-WWII August bookclub book. He approved of the dress because in real life I am having trouble separating old timey outfits with 2017. Thank the Lord cause some current "in" outfit ideas (READ: JUMPSUITS) should be taken to the dumpster and placed inside.
We then went and had lunch at Culvers. Not glamorous but they have gluten-free frozen custard and pb sauce topping.
After lunch, we stopped at the Goodwill where we always stop. Today was there half off clothing day. We spent the first 25 minutes going through the men's section. I passed off about 10 items for Bryan to try on. Before he headed to the fitting room, he said, "Sis, usually you just send me to the men's stuff and make me look through it by myself. I like having you here pulling stuff off the rack and threatening me if I ever wear this that you will punch me in the face." Awwwww...sibling love.
After Goodwill we returned to the coffeeshop from when our day began. We got water and chilled for about 30 minutes. We discussed a myriad of topics.
We were able to follow one another to the I-90 on ramp where we both AT THE SAME TIME rolled down our windows, waved and honked. It's what we do. It's who we are.
We are so cool.
Ooooh and one oart of the day I forgot to mention, we discussed Bryan's 40th birthday. It's 6ish weeks away and I am going to do everything in my sisterly power to make it ridiculously memorable. :)
