"Happy Holidays & thank you for calling..."

Today I spent a good portion of my morning making calls to clients with outstanding invoices. It's something I do that I (strangely enough) enjoy doing. The initial call is more of a "Hi-do you have this?" kind of call. So it's not painful. Well...today I called an office and the receptionist was soo cheerful, "Happy holidays! Thank you for calling..." Sooo I thought I would brighten her day and I replied, "A happy holiday to you too!" Apparently I was a little too energetic and she was rendered speechless. My boss said perhaps I shouldn't be quite soo enthusiastic. Okay--how can I NOT be enthusiastic? Seriously. I only had one cup of coffee today. Oh wait--I had hot chocolate too. Danger-danger. Maybe the caffeine. Maybe it's all the holiday cheer. Maybe...just maybe it twas Memphis...
