Good Idea/Bad Idea

After I finished high school, I had a cool opportunity to be a full-time nanny for a family with two small children. At the time, I believe the kids were 2 and not quite 5 months old. Right away I worked at putting together a schedule for these youngsters. Everyday at 3 o'clock, Animaniacs came on. It was cartoon with these three characters (and I seriously cannot remember their names)--but it was two boys and one girl. The artists of the cartoon wrote the episodes with mini episodes within the grander episode. One of the "skits" was Good Idea/Bad Idea. Today while going through MULTIPLE files (a painful, mind-numbing exercise that might just send me over the edge) I remembered Good Idea/Bad Idea. Here's what I came up with in my head...

Good Idea: Driving to work
Bad Idea: Driving with a blindfold on to work

Good Idea: Answering the phone
Bad Idea: Answering the work phone like Yoda

Try this tomorrow. Think of something that's normal and then try adding a new take. It's fun...well, it's more-or-less delusional fun. But fun, none the less.

Okay--I know these are not right. I know, I know. But let's see how you do being locked in a room without a window, multiple old, smelly files, and a Carmel Macchiato.

I LOVED that show. I could sing the whole theme song. Pinky and the Brain were awesome!"Are you thinking what I am thinking?" was a great line. What was the bad idea for stop and smell the roses? I just remember it being funny.

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
