Cleaning night...

Sooo tonight is my big cleaning night at the cottage. It's a shame just how dirty I've let this place get...lest you worry, it's not filthy...it's just dusty and needs a good cleaning! Too help motivate me...I've invited Nancy over for lunch on Monday. I was emailing another friend today confessing how I only invite people over so I am motivated to clean. Let's face it - Maggie doesn't care if the floor hasn't been mopped in a couple weeks. I don't care if there are dust bunnies hovering around. Neither of us are disturbed by the dust on the ceiling fan. Well...I do take that ONE back. I pulled the cord on the fan and when a gray piece of fluff floated down, I said to myself, Angie Good (it's funny that I refer to myself as "Angie Good" and not just "Angie"...), you had better clean the cottage before Nancy comes over on Monday! Dust bunnies even on the ceiling fan!

Here it is Friday night...7:52. I went to the gym after work and put in my time...then I swung by Hilander to pick up a few things. (Not a good idea to go to the grocery store when you are hungry...never fear -- I did not go crazy. I went in for 3 items and left with 3 items!) And here I sit...not very motivated to clean. :(

I'd rather blog...

The same friend that I was emailing earlier today began her email greeting with "Happy Friday!" This made me think, Wow - it's Friday! Where did my week go? Here' a quick recap...

Monday: work, Ladies Club, sleep
Tuesday: work, gym, sleep
Wednesday: work, church, sleep
Thursday: work, gym, sleep
Friday: work, gym, clean....?, and hopefully sleep! :)

Tomorrow I am going to spend the morning and afternoon with Nancy. She wants to go to Janesville! We have to go early in the day, because tomorrow evening I am going to hang out with the Gear children! I haven't spent any time with them in weeks...well, it's more like months! Bad Fun Angie! Sunday is church and the usual Sunday activities. And Monday...thank you, Columbus, I do not have to work! Wahoo! Nancy and I are going to get together and make some cards. I'm hoping to start my Christmas cards. My problem thus far has been finding an idea that I love...well, I'd even settle for just LIKING an idea. Nothing is saying, "Angie Good, make me!" Normally these things come together and I know what I want to do. This year, I have pulled out magazines, looked through books, searched the internet...and nothing. Nada. I want to send out cards this year! I don't want to fall back into my EVERY-OTHER-YEAR cycle. Maybe I am just not feeilng Christmas-y...maybe I should do the unthinkable and pull out a Christmas movie...or a CD...

If I do decide to watch a movie...I will let you know!

Happy weekend, friends!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
