* * Happy Thursday! * *

I cannot believe how fast this week has flown by.  It seems like it was just yesterday that it was Sunday and I was scribbling my week on my chalkboard which is posted by my door.  Monday - work, work-out...  Tuesday - work, work-out...  Wednesday - work, coffee, church...  Thursday - work, work-out...  Friday - COFFEE WITH TRUDY!  Friday - Garage Sales w/Sara

And now here it is...Thursday evening.  Four workdays down and only one to go.

On Monday and Tuesday, I unintentionally wore polka-dotted skirts.  Tuesday afternoon, my co-worker Wendy said, "Sooo is this the polkadot week?  You should totally do themed clothing weeks.  This week polkadots.  Next week stripes.  Third week floral."  This got me thinking...I wonder if I could pull off themed clothing weeks.  I had already planned on wearing this super cute Merona black with white polkadotted dress I got at the thrift WITH THE TAGS STILL ATTACHED!  This dress was at Target last summer and I remember standing in the Target store and asking the Lord, "Please send this to the thrift."  And He did.  I found it at the thrift store in Michigan City, IN with my brother.  Poor Bry had no idea how much I have wanted this dress last summer and what an answer to prayer it was.  Did I mention the tags were still attached?  The $40 tag...and the girl with curly hair got it for 90% off!!!  (Moment totally called for a HAPPY DANCE!!!!)

Soo the black with white polkadots got saved for today...but tomorrow....I think I have determined that I shall wear either denim capris or regular jeans with a red t-shirt and then I have this super cute red headband with white polkadots.  It's one of those headbands that you tie at the nape of your neck and it has two ribbons hanging down...sooo Thelma and Louise.  I've not ever seen that movie - is that terrible to say outloud?  I've also never ever seen Fried Green Tomatoes.  I mean this is coming from the girl that just watched Miracle on 34th Street last November (as in 2010).

I'm trying to decide if I want to do plaids, florals, or stripes next week?  I could probably do color-themed weeks also....  The good part is -- I'm locked into one particular pattern so I really don't dilly-dally about what to wear to work.  This week - only polkadots.  It's made choosing what to wear a cinch!

Tomorrow evening I am going out to coffee with Trudy which will turn into a fabulous therapy session -- FREE OF CHARGE!  I love Trudy.  I love how being around her is good for me.  She draws me closer to the Lord.  She's such a blessing and I love her to pieces!!!

Saturday will be another uplifting day.  A day in Freeport with Sara!  We are planning on meeting at Higher Grounds coffeeshop and partaking of the beloved beverage then garage sale-ing and eventually making it to Twice As Nice thrift.  What a fun Saturday.

I really do have the most wonderful friends...

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
