Why...

"Why don't we have dates?"  It's a good question.  Why don't we have dates?  I mean really...why aren't there nice guys lined-up asking us out?  We're nice girls.  We love Jesus.  We can cook, clean, and delight in the little things in life.

My answer..."I don't honestly know, but to quote someone fabulous, 'the men of this world don't know what they are missing out on.'  I think maybe this repetitive question is making me sad.  I don't know why we don't have dates."

I've had more time (than the question-er)...years actually, to contemplate this question.  I honestly don't know...I wish I did understand.

Confession:  The characters in Kristin Billerbeck's books - The Spa Girls and Ashley Stockingdale series - hit home with me.  Thirty-something, single girls trying to figure out where that one good fish is at...and having no luck.  Well, around page 150 they will meet him.  For me...WHERE IS MY PAGE 150 EXPERIENCE?

See, this is why I don't dwell on this...when I do dwell on it, I take my focus off the Lord and I focus on ME and being single.

Soo for now, I will be content with where I am at.
