Just like traveling down to Georgia...

Somewhere along the way during my journey through Psalms, I managed to get off-course.  During my vacation, I spent a lot of time (A LOT) in Psalms...reading, meditating, praying through the book...and I managed to jump 8 days ahead of schedule. 

Yesterday I read through Psalm 130 and I want to share a verse that cracked-me-up...after I share the verse, I will write my thoughts.

"My soul waiteth for the Lord

more than they that watch for the

morning:  I say, more than they that

watch for the morning."  (verse 6)

My initial thoughts were -- did the Psalmist pen these words and felt that for emphasis, they needed to be repeated.  Kind of like when you talk to someone who's not fully pay attention to what you say.  Sometimes when I get the vibe that the hearer is not listening, I will interject something very random.  If they acknowledge my randomness - TA DA - it worked and I was wrong, they were infact listening.  If they don't acknowledge it...well, they weren't really listening.

I was convicted about how good or not so good of a listener I am...especially when I am busy.  Today I am going to ask the Lord to help me really LISTEN to my co-workers.
