A little over a week ago, I was involved in my ninth wedding....eight times a bridesmaid and once as a personal attendant. Someone joked "Are you going for 27 Dresses?" Ummmmmmm....NO! I will leave 27 dresses to the chick flick. Being a bridesmaid is a commitment...and then after the wedding, it's a relief...like holding your breath for a long time and then exhaling and breathing a sigh of relief.
Also this summer...I am bidding farewell to the Rieger family. Starting Thursday, I will dog- / house-sit for the 8th time. I am not sure who I am going to miss more...my favorite co-worker, his wonderful wife, his delightful kiddos or the endearing dogs. This family has become like my family...having me over for Thanksgiving supper when my family is so far away...letting me be Aunt Angie to two delightful teenagers...or just spoiling their dogs.
The third part is more of a blessing in disguise...because it's a renewal of waiting. Not so much fun...but always a reminder of Psalm 18:30 ~ As for God, His way is perfect.
I know summer has only begun....but it feels like a summer of change. Change is good...right? Change is necessary....that's what I am clinging to today.
