My Blog Project ~ February 23rd ~ Laundry whenever...

I am not a laundry procrastinator.  Infact I thoroughly enjoy doing laundry.  I love stripping and washing my bed sheets.  I like washing my gym clothes and hanging them up to dry.  I love clean bath towels.

My most favorite thing about laundry is clothesline-dried sheets and towels.  Have you ever experienced line-dried sheets?  If not - when spring gets here, try it.  Line-dry your sheets.  I promise it will change your life.

When I lived in the hood - adjacent to the hood - I would wash my sheets and quilt and towels and haul the wet items over to my friend Nancy's house where I would borrow her clotheslines.

The beauty in laundry when your single is...

1. I never have 14 loads.

2. I can wake-up and throw a load of laundry in the washer.

3. I can stay-up late and do laundry.

4. If I get overwhelmed with laundry {See #1}, I can and have paid the laundymat to do my laundry.  This only happened a few times when I was teaching and subbing at the public library and did not have any more hours in the day to do laundry - nor did I want to be at a 24-hour laundrymat at circa 11 p.m.  I mean, HELLO - I do live in Rockford!

5. I can use Woolite for all of my clothes and I don't have to explain to some boy why I want to use this fru-fru laundry soap to preserve my clothes.

6. I can hang my clothes in the doorways to dry.

7. I can leave my drying rack in the middle of my living room floor.  No one complains.  Celia likes it.  It makes an interesting maze and a sculpture for her to contemplate scaling while her human works.
