Christmas songs are just sooo delightful!!!!

Yesterday (or maybe it was the day before) I confessed in writing that I love, love, LOVE the song, Sleigh Ride.  I especially enjoy hearing it at the Rockford Symphony's Holiday Pops Concert.  The evokes this sense of Christmas...a sleigh ride with a fuzzy blanket and a steaming cup of hot cocoa.  I don't know...it's my sentimental heart.  It melts with that song and the notion of a sleigh ride.

Since my confession of Sleigh Ride, I have heard that song atleast TEN times!!!

Today the song that I kept hearing was "I'm Dreaming of A White Christmas" -- and I am not sure which version it is.  It starts out "Ba-da-ba-dum-bump-bump..."  I think it's Bing!

Speaking of all things Christmas...I like listening to Pandora -- free internet radio.  You can select what genre of music you want...my stations are all Christmas.  (Did you seriously expect me to tell you it was something else???  Helloooooo - I heart Christmas!!!!)  Sooo back to my Pandora account...Have you ever used Pandora?  You get the option to thumbs-up or thumbs-down songs.  I totally thumbs-down Perry Como.  No thanks!  Good news - I apparently have thumbs-upped Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra because this morning, Pandora played about 6 songs IN A ROW from those two crooners.  (Sigh.)  It really made my heart go pitter-patter.

I like the song, Mary, Did You Know?  It has amazing lyrics and a wonderful message.  Of course, when I hear it, I think of Gloria's sister Bonnie.

P.S. You know what I discovered today...I like wearing winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves/mittens.  I like winter.  Oh - let's not forget faux fur boots!!!  I don't mind winter. With the proper gear, one can be delightfully warm and most content.  (You can quote me!!!  I don't mind!)

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
