November 1st

Happy first day of November!  I can hardly believe it's November.  I'm not going to make any nonsensical statements (like I did at the beginning of October) such as "Wow -- November does not look soo busy -- this is going to be nice!!!"  A. That would be a lie -- because my November does appear to be quite busy;  B. I don't want to set myself up to have to eat those words.

I'm not exactly sure where the year has gone.  It seems like it was just last week that we were LITERALLY knee-deep in snow.  Do you remember the blizzard?  Wow!  How quickly time flies by...

The past two days at work have been crazy-busy for me.  For those of you who have the blessing of chatting with me via email, you have probably wondered what on earth has happened to the girl with curls.  No worries -- I am still alive and all is well.  I've just been busy.  It sure does make the day fly by!  I clock-in at 8 and the next time I glance up, it's 11 and time for a break!  Then it's 1:30 - lunch...shortly thereafter it's 3:30 and then BAM - 4:30 and I am clocking-out for the day!!!!

Tonight I had to run to Woodmans after work.  One would think that by owning the same cellphone for close to 15 months that I wouldn't still randomly dial my contacts, right?  WRONG!  While looking for the beloved Skor candy bars (for a filler in Rhonda's birthday present), I threw my phone in my purse without locking it.  Apparently said phone decided that it would call a former co-worker of mine, Big Tuna.  Yep.  And I didn't notice until somewhere around 3 minutes into the faux call.  I'm sure on his voicemail he heard me saying, "I don't understand why they don't make miniature Skor bars?"  Poor guy.  I sent the appropriate apologetic text...all the while thinking, Angie Good, you have got to remember to lock your screen before shoving your phone in your purse!!!  What if I would've called my boss?  Two words -- Danger-danger.  Atleast with Chad, he has a good sense of humor.  But sheesh -- this could've been awhole lot worse.

After this incident, I had the fabulous opportunity to meet up with Rhonda and celebrate her!  I love birthdays.  They really are a wonderful way to celebrate our friends!!!  We met at Panera for supper and then went thrifting -- her two favorite things.  Technically her three favorite things - if I may be so conceited as to proclaim that I am her third favorite.  Helloooo!  I know 'tis true.

Oh - did you listen to the new music on my blog?  It's Christmas.  I told you that I was going to change the music on November 1st.  You didn't think that I would let you down, right?  If there wasn't Christmas music on my blog, then you would worry...

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
