My FABULOUS Saturday Night Last-Minute Coffee-ish Date

Tonight I had the most fabulous coffee-ish date with my bestie, Ginger.  We met Starbucks on State Street at 5 p.m.  We were mildly entertained (oh stink - you can't see him in the picture!) by a gentleman wearing a light green shirt, wearing headphones and laughing heartily at his computer monitor.  His facial expressions were priceless...his voice equally so.

After discussing a plethora of topics and pondering our most recent Bible reading...we asked three girls (probably in their 20's) to take our picture.  The girl that took my camera asked, "Oh, is this your first time here?"  We told the group that "no, indeed it's not our first time here..."  Upon removing ourselves from the 20's-ish group, Ginger said, "Honey, we've been coming for coffee since..."  (I wish I could remember what followed her "since"...(sigh)...

After Starbucks, we made our way to Ulta.  Our mission was the find bottles of Can't-A-Berry Have Some Fun -- our fun nail color from last night.  But alas, that particular OPI color was not to be found...sooo in its place, we tried something new, Sparrow Me The Drama!  It's pinkish...and pictured below.

Because sometimes we let those 7th grade matchy-matchy girls out to play, we bought matching purple, sparkly hair accessories too.  They were clearanced out and ab-so-lute-ly FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great way to spend a Saturday evening...out on a coffee date with my bestie!!!!

As we left Ulta, Ginger said, "Oh my goodness, who am I going to go to Ulta with when I get to Seattle?"  I suggested that we go "together" -- we can plan our outing and then confirm a date/time...we can be THOSE girls that talk on their cellphone the entire time while shopping.  I used to get upset when people would be walking around a store talking loudly on their cellphone...but what if, they were missing their best friend and they were shopping with them like we are going to do????  Wow!!!  Have some more compassion, Angie Good.  Con-victed!

I hope your Saturday evening was exactly how you wanted it to be -- whether it is surrounded by family & friends, quietly reading a book, talking on the phone with your bestie...  I hope your Saturday evening was filled with doing the very thing that warmed your heart, because MINE WAS!!!!

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
