Curtains

Sooooo I've been contemplating making curtains for my bathroom.  At JoAnn's, I saw a pattern that caught my eye -- The Idiot's Guide to Sewing:  Curtains.  It was written for the non-sewer.  Now granted, I can semi-sew but nothing anything fancy.  I figured I could give sewing a valance for my bathroom a whirl.  And actually I saw a super cute striped sheet that I thought would make a lovely curtain...but I wasn't 100% sold on it so I had not yet purchased it.


Well, yesterday at lunch, I wanted to get out of the office -- mostly because it was a lovely day!!!  I went to the Rescue Mission resale store (which just so happens to be right down the road from my place of employment).  Someone had made and donated the cutest pink and lime green valances.  There were actually quite a few pairs of these.  


For $2.59, I have new bathroom curtains.  




I think I might put sheer curtains behind these...not sure...
