"They pay me to type."

Co-worker: "Don't you take pride in your work?"

Me: (looks at co-worker in complete disbelief) "Oh, you are serious. No, I don't. What am I to be proud of...36" sewer pipes? They pay me to type. They pay you to read what I type."

...after pondering this whole entire conversation, I have decided to wear my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hoodie to work. Ummmmmmm...it's fabulous.  I know, I know...you are probably jealous already.  But there's more --  my hoodie is old school complete with a picture of the circa 1980 Ninja Turtles!!!  And at the top, the words:  "STRAIGHT FROM THE SEWER!"  The hoodie was a Christmas present from my crafty friend, Nancy.  She bought it for me the Christmas after I started working at the poop plant (named as such by my former boss).  Nice.

When Nancy gave me the hoodie, she shared that there was a couple near the hoodies that was arguing about something.  (It's been 2-1/2 years so forgive me for not remembering exactly what they were arguing about -- safe-to-say, it was something super trivial!)  Nancy said she was laughing soo loudly that they stopped arguing, walked over to her, read the hoodie and laughed when she explained why she was going to buy it for me.  See -- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...still makin' people smile.  Breakin' up a fight.  Savin' the world.

Ooooh funny story about the faux name of my place of employment....
In Seattle, I met my friends' pastor's wife -- super sweet lady.  In our getting to know one another chat, she asked me where I work and what I do.  I didn't bother to pause and say to myself, Angie Good, this lady doesn't know you from Suzie Q!  Tell her the official name of the place where you work...  Nope.  Not me.  I replied, "I am a secretary at the poop plant."  Thankfully Ginger was able to intercept and save the day, "She works in the admin building of the sewage treatment plant."

Without Ging around, I had better work on saying the official title of where I work instead of the funny, named-by-my-former-boss title.  :)

It's been awhile.

While I was in The JoAnn Fabrics store this afternoon purchasing pre-punched paper for my 2024 garden journal, I said to myself, "Self,...
