At the thrift, in the midst of a sea of dresses, what should appear? The same cute black sundress...and the tags were still attached!!! What a blessing. I got the $20 dress for close to 75% off the store price. [Moments before thrifting, I considered purchasing this very sundress at the red bull's eye but I just couldn't do it. I heard that voice in my head say, "Angie Good, Target donates to the Goodwill. Why don't you wait?" Funny -- I only had to wait about 20 minutes.
I am thankful that I exercised self-control and did not over-spend.
After thrifting, we almost got hit by the Kishwaukee Baptist Church bus. 0.3 seconds after the near-death-experience, we both cracked-up...LOIS laughter... I then said, "Can you imagine Pastor B telling people how we died?" [Insert more laughter...]
And just so we're on the same page...when I do depart this earth, I want fabulous songs at my funeral. Fabulous as in...
Just over in the Gloryland
Wonderful Grace of Jesus
Amazing Love
I do not want Amazing Grace and Old, Rugged Cross. They are not bad hymns. They are just funeral hymns. And since I am going to be walking on the streets of gold...I want you to be happy for me. Happy that I am finally Home.
